Kohakutei is a spacious, whole-house vacation rental, ideal for independent travelers and groups. Combining the freedom of a private vacation home with the luxury of a natural hot spring, it offers a truly special place to unwind. Soak in natural hot spring water flowing from a lion’s mouth spout and let its warmth soothe your tired body. Enjoy a blissful moment of relaxation whenever you wish. The house has four bedrooms: two on the first floor with a total of five beds, and two on the second floor with Japanese-style futon bedding. There is one toilet on each floor, for a total of two. Prepare meals in the kitchen, enjoy grilled Shiraoi beef, or gather around takeaway sushi and party platters for a relaxed stay at your own pace. Nearby, you will find a fishing pond with rainbow trout raised in Kuttara spring water, as well as a shop selling locally grown, log-cultivated shiitake mushrooms. We look forward to welcoming you as you explore Hokkaido. Please note: The property is in a rural area with limited access by JR trains and local buses. It is intended for guests traveling by car, so we recommend arriving by rental car or your own vehicle. Please note: As the property is surrounded by nature, you may encounter insects and small animals. This accommodation is best suited to guests who enjoy staying in a natural setting. We cannot completely prevent insects from entering the house. It is closed during winter to prevent water pipes from freezing and because cleaning is not possible during this period. BBQ equipment sets are available to rent for an additional fee. House rules
■ Accommodates 2–15 guests. ■ Check-in: From 3:00 PM / Check-out: By 10:00 AM ■ Smoking is prohibited throughout the property. Additional charges: - Cleaning fee: ¥6,000 per stay. - Hot spring tax: ¥150 per person per night. Children of elementary school age and younger are exempt. - Accommodation tax: ¥100 per person per night. Children sharing existing bedding without their own bed or futon are exempt. Please note: Credit cards are not accepted. Meals are not provided. Guests are welcome to prepare their own meals in the kitchen or enjoy a gathering with takeaway food. An electric griddle for grilling meat and a portable gas stove are also available to borrow. Please contact us in advance if you would like to use them.
