Enjoy a relaxing, private stay in a Japanese-style house with a spacious garden. The property features a natural hot spring bath fed continuously from the source and a BBQ house in the garden. Please note: The BBQ house is unavailable from November through March due to freezing conditions and snowfall. Shiraoi, where our property is located, is surrounded by nature and offers an abundance of local specialties. The area is particularly known for Kojohama salted pollock roe, horsehair crab, log-grown shiitake mushrooms, and Shiraoi beef. Nearby, you can also enjoy rainbow trout fishing at facilities that use natural spring water. Please note: Public transportation is limited in this area, so we recommend traveling by car. All bedrooms have tatami flooring. Please be aware that tatami mats have a distinctive natural rush-grass scent. **The Space** The house includes a living room, a kitchen with a dining area, two bedrooms, a hot spring bathroom, and one toilet. There are two air conditioners. During winter, underfloor heating powered by hot spring water keeps the living room, kitchen, and hallway warm. All bedding consists of Japanese-style futons laid out on the tatami floor. For guests with leg or back problems, we can provide up to two portable beds upon request. **Other Things to Note** We recommend this property for guests traveling by car, as getting around by public transportation can be inconvenient. All bedrooms have tatami flooring, which has a distinctive natural rush-grass scent. Please keep this in mind before booking. Smoking is prohibited throughout the property. If you would like to use the BBQ house, please reserve it in advance. BBQ grill rental and supplies such as charcoal are available for an additional fee. Please bring your own food.
